The Emerald Chronicles
Interview #1: Heidi

I have only known Heidi a short period - less than six months - but it seems as if I've known her forever. She's bubbly, bouncy and friendly. I'd give her Charisma score a high 16! It's been an honor to game with her and her characters, and I hope you enjoy the Emerald Chronicles as much as I do.

This interview was conducted via email, and is intended to give you a rough image of the creator of Emerald and The Emerald Chronicles.

Cathy: How long have you and your character been gaming together?

Heidi: Only about a month now.

Cathy: What do you especially like about your character?

Heidi: I like that she has such a mystery about her. Not much of a memory so the possibilities of her past, orgin and identity can be revealed as we adventure.

Cathy: Dislike?

Heidi: She is so frail, and the other characters tend to call her a chicken. Not chicken like she is scared, but chicken like they want to eat her! When this happens she tends to get portrayed as nerotic.

Cathy: If you could ask your character one question, what would it be?

Heidi: What kind of guy does she like? Or does she dig guys at all?

Cathy: If you could give your character one piece of advice, what would it be?

Heidi: Remove the target off her chest. She has a nack for getting right in the middle of a war even when she tries to run.

Cathy: How long have you been playing RPGs?

Heidi: Truthfully, I have been a closet role player for about 2 years playing only once a month. Now however, I play about 2 times a week and I love it. I guess I shead that "Geek" complex that I always thought of when I thought of RPGs.

Cathy: Have you considered online or PBeM RPGs?

Heidi: No, I haven't, but I am now.

Cathy: What is your favorite system?

Heidi: I notice the GM has everything to do with how much I like the game more than the system. Right now I really enjoy my D&D game with Emerald, and Storyboard which I play about once a month. Storyboard's system is very easy and it allows you to be as creative as you want.

Cathy: What is your favorite game overall?

Heidi: Like I said, the GM has everything to do with it, but I really like Storyboard and D&D.

Cathy: Aside from this character, who is your favorite character overall?

Heidi: Trinity in Storyboard is a fun character, but is not as developed as Emerald. Trinity is a farie that can shoot magical daggers from her eyes and has no legs. Emerald right now is the character I am most excited about because she is allowing me to be very creative and more confident about my writing and story telling through her journals. But then I can't leave out Mira, my seductress from Otari. It's always fun to play a seductress.
