To
assist Starbase Phoenix in achieving its primary goals, the Defiant-class
USS Griffin was assigned to the station on stardate 2398.02.21.
Its tactical specialties have proved invaluable on many occasions since.

Deck 1:
Bridge (Broken down into upper and lower levels). Command Bridge is on
the upper level; the Captain's Ready room, and the Officer's Conference
room are on the lower level.
Deck 2:
Sickbay, CMO's Office, Transporter Room 1, and Captain's Quarters.
Deck 3:
Junior Officer Quarters (5 rooms), Executive Officer's Quarters, and
Officer's Lounge (in the 'neck' of the ship and the only place with
viewports).
Deck 4:
Senior Officer Quarters (5 rooms), and Marine Commandant's Quarters.
Deck 5:
Crew Quarters (3 rooms), Brig, Holodeck 1, and Mess Hall.
Deck 6:
Crew Quarters (3 rooms), Main Computer Core, Main sensor Array, and

[Note that the decks are not strictly numbered top to bottom: Decks
1 & 2 are in the forward ('nose') of the ship and are somewhat separated
from the main vehicle section, Deck 2 is on the same 'elevation' and
connects to Deck 4 via a hallway.]

The main weapons locker is near the Marine training
area on Deck 11 (it contains 25 phaser rifles, Marine support weapons,
and 10 of each type I and II phasers, with room for 20 more rifles).
There is also a weapons locker in the brig (Deck 5), on the bridge in
the Officer's Conference Room (Deck 1), and in Main Engineering (Deck
8), each containing 3 phaser rifles, 5 type II phasers, and non-lethal
ordanances).
In other than red alerts, weapons lockers can be
accessed by the Marine Detachment CO & XO, and the Griffin CO, XO, Chief
Security Officer, and Security Officers on duty. During red alerts,
all commissioned and non-commissioned officers can access these areas.
Crew Quarters |

Marine Quarters are barracks style
and sleep 10 marines on double bunk wall beds with storage in the walls
above, between and below the upper and lower bunks, and a terminal/desk/multipurpose
surface, and with showers at one end and washrooms at the other.
Crew Quarters (6 crew per room) with double
bunk wall beds with storage in the walls above, between and below the
upper and lower bunks, and a terminal/desk/multipurpose surface, and
with two washrooms with shower compartments.
Junior Officer Quarters (4 officers per room)
are limited to 4 beds parallel to the walls (which can fold up), with
storage compartments above and below, 4 terminal/desk/multipurpose surfaces,
two washrooms with a shower compartments , and a replicator.
Senior Officer Quarters (2 officers per room)
are limited to 2 beds parallel to the walls, storage compartments above
and below, two terminal/desk/multipurpose surfaces, a washroom with
a shower compartment, a replicator, a sofa and table area with a view
screen.
The Captain's, Executive Officer's,
and Marine Commandant Quarters (individual rooms) have a bed
parallel to the wall, storage comparments above and below, a free standing
terminal/desk/multipurpose surfaces, a washroom with a shower compartment,
a replicator, a sofa and table area with a view screen. The sleeping
and living areas are seperated by a small wall.
