Personal Background

T'Rin was raised on the planet Vulcan by her parents, both of whom have become noted scientists with the Vulcan Science Academy. T'Rin began her schooling at the VSA, then transferred to Starfleet Academy. Once she had completed her training in Starfleet, she returned to the VSA for her post graduate work. Her first duty station after Vulcan was Starbase Phoenix as Chief Science Officer.

Her primary interest is in the physical sciences, however she does have other interests, including research in what she terms, "Calming Techniques". She has studied, and in some cases implemented in her personal life, various calming and meditation techniques, which she willingly teaches to anyone who asks.

Another private study she has been doing has been "The Race Called Starfleet", wherein she is compiling data to prove that, in enclosed communities like certain deep space ships and stations, racial differences merely blend to such an extent that the community itself becomes a unique race.
