Personal Background

Raised on mostly on Earth, Kiara spent her childhood knowing little of her biological father. Natasha believed in shielding her oldest daughter from a background that had to remain shrouded in secrecy. Learning to control her stronger than normal empathic/telepathic abilities through the use of Betazoid techniques learned from Riley, the only father figure she had any contact with. Finding an outlet for her agressive tendancies in the study of various marital arts particularly that of Tae Kwon Do.

Father: Riley Haven (Executive Officer on a starship assigned to Starfleet R&D) though her true biological father is believed to be a Romulan, Io'Lani (Tal Shiar Subcommander)
Mother: Natasha Haven (former Starfleet Intelligence Operative currently assigned to the same ship as her husband)

At the age of 10 she was enrolled in a boarding school on Betazed, its ulitmate goal to prepare her for Starfleet Academy. Challenging her instructors with her intelligence and quest for knowledge. By this point Kiara was managing to carve her own path through life pretty well. One or both of her parents were always away on assignment. Seeing her mother far less due to Natasha's assignment with Starfleet Intelligence. it wasn't until Kiara was attending Starfleet Academy that her mother was reassigned.

Kiara's deep blue eyes seem to penetrate to one's very soul, she has an athletic yet feminine build, her physical appearance masks her Romulan heritage masterfully on most occassions. However a closer look will reveal some definate Romulan blood. She keeps her hair short to fit under a flight helmet and exhibits the reflexes of someone who is skilled in various martial arts and trained to fly fighters.
