Enapay describes herself as receiving all
the worst qualities from her grandparents. From her father's parents she
had received her darker coloring, high cheek bones and pointed ears. From
her mother she had received her small 5 foot frame, the Bajoran nose as
and has the Cardassian forehead and eyebrows.
All her life she had been shuffled from one starship
to the next as her half Native American, half Romulan father attempted
to improve his position. She remembered, clearly being teased about
her ears as a child. Of all her physical characteristics, it was the
one that bothered her the least. Enapay remembered, at five years old,
when her half Bajoran, half Cardasian mother left her father to fight
with the maquis. She also recalled the night when she was eight, and
her father announced her mother had been killed. Enapay had never forgiven
the maquis or the Cardassians for taking her mother from her.
She couldn't recall how many times she ended up
confined to quarters or in the brig after her mother's death. Enapay's
temper had increased quickly, having no form of releasing her temper
Enapay instead began fighting. At 13, she was strong enough and quick
enough that she could fight most untrained adults and win.
The memory that caused Enapay to be in Starfleet
was the most difficult memory of all. When she was 15, her friends had
set her up by getting her involved on a maquis attack, and wound up
on a penal colony. Thankfully, her case was reviewed and they found
that there was not enough evidence to have convicted her but the judge
wasn't about to let her return to the life of self destruction that
she had been leading before her arrest. Instead the judge had ordered
the young girl to be sent back to Earth, there she would attend a self-paced,
Native American school to finish her remaining classes before she was
then sent to the Academy.
Enapay wanted out of Starfleet as quickly as possible
so she refused to take any breaks from her studies and graduated nearly
a year and half years before she was suppose to. She hoped the judge
would allow her to leave Starfleet, but the judge refused. Enapay was
forced to remain in Starfleet until she turned 21. Deciding she had
no choice she chose to prove to the Judge and her self that she could
be a good pilot and a good officer.
